Dear Parents & Guardians,

We are looking forward to welcoming students back over the coming days. Please see a reminder of the return times below:

• First Years – Thursday 21st & Friday 22nd, 9:00 am – 11:00 am

• Second Years – Friday 22nd, 11:15 am – 12:00 pm

• Third Years – Friday 22nd, 12:15 pm to 1.00pm

• Transition Year – Friday 22nd, 9:30 am – 10:30 am

• Fifth Years – Monday 25th, 9:00 am – 10:00 am

• Sixth Years – Monday 25th, 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Please note that full school days commence on Tuesday, August 26th.

This year, we are trialling 58‑minute classes, following consultation with staff, students, and parents.

• Morning Registration & Check‑in: 8:40 – 8:50 am daily. This 10‑minute period is an integral part of the school day. It is unacceptable to be late, and casual lateness is something we are determined to eradicate this year. Your cooperation and support are very important to its success.

• Finish times: 3:38 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday; 1:02 pm on Wednesdays.

In line with the national drive to reduce phone use in schools, the pouch system will operate for 1st‑4th Years. We have pouches in stock for 5th and 6th Year students too, but they are expected to take personal responsibility – phones should not feature during school hours, unless being used appropriately for learning (e.g. Google Classroom, ExamRevision.ie etc).

We’re delighted to announce that Mount Temple is partnering with ExamRevision.ie, providing each student with access to a suite of comprehensive resources – video tutorials, quizzes, notes, and revision tools across nearly every subject in the Junior and Senior Cycle.

Finally, the rebuild is proceeding well, with much visible progress on site. We’ll continue to keep you updated as the project develops.
