Drama has a rich tradition in Mount Temple. The school has participated in many European Theatre festivals over the last fifteen years and have travelled to Marseilles, Malta and Holland to perform both scripted and devised plays. Previous productions have also been invited to perform in the Beckett Theatre in TCD and the New Theatre in Temple Bar.
Mount Temple has a long standing association with the Project Theatre. Senior students can go to the theatre for a reduced price. Regular theatre trips are organised on weekday evenings. We are grateful to the P.A. for aiding this initiative. For more information, see Ms. Doak.
Drama club meets every Tuesday after school from 3.40 till 5.00. If you wish to book a place, please text Claire at 087-7669948 or see Ms. Doak.

The annual carol service is a very special date in the Mount Temple diary. It is the only time in the yearly calendar that the whole school community comes together.
Mount Temple gym is transformed into an auditorium that is home to the choir and large congregation of students, staff, parents, and the board of management for the very special service.
It is tradition for the new 1st year students to take part in the service. Along with the rest of the school, the choir consists of 400 plus students!
The Mount Temple Orchestra is also a wonderful addition to the service. This is a representation of the amazing award-winning instrumentalists we have among our student body here in Mount Temple.
Mount Temple has a strong heritage of Musical Theatre. This has seen a number of TY musicals run successfully over the years. It is a large scale production with an ambitious scope that is designed to include TY students’ involvement in all aspects of theatre life.
The flourishing drama scene in the school has inspired many pupils to make a career in the world of theatre and film.
The Musical is open to all TY students regardless of experience and really embodies our ethos of All Different All Equal.
