The geography department would like to thank everyone for their support last week for diversity day. Special thanks go to the Ethiopian Society of Ireland for coming in and preparing a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Ms O’Loughlin for helping us to organise some Japanese drummers to come in at the last minute (they perform across the country and we will share the next event with you as soon as we hear about it).

Past pupil Stephen Cairns from Prospect design company, who very kindly provided us with some amazing flags and bunting to help decorate the school and who agreed to help us to make the amazing diversity flag designed by Luca Stacey in 1B.
All students from 1st – 6th year who ran a stall, those who stepped in when a break was needed and of course all of the parents/guardians who donated prizes for geography week, helped build displays and who baked, boiled, roasted, fried and kept their cool when their young people were determined to feed all 900+ students.
Thank you also to Damien Rolston & Bryan McDermott (Caretaking Staff) for all of their assistance in setting things up for Diversity Day 2024.
