Arts Council: Showcase. Call for submissions. (by Ms. A.O’Brien).

We will also present the first ever Annual MT Arts Council Review – a publication of artwork by Mount Temple students which will be displayed on the night and will create a historical record to be kept in the library… Who knows, in the future we might have the first writings of a Booker prize winner, the early poems of a Poet Laureat, or the drawings of a future Biennalle exhibitionist!  

But more than this – this will be a record of the year and how Mount Temple students mark that year through artistic expression!    Our theme for this year will be ‘Old Skool’ – chosen by the upcoming move from our old school building – and pieces should be inspired by this theme.

We are asking all students to submit a piece for consideration and inclusion in the review.  We want to be as inclusive as possible, so if it can be written word, drawing, photographs, photographs of physical art pieces, links to videos of performance pieces…  If you can create it and capture it, we want to display it.

Deadline for submission of pieces is the 13th of April at 12.00 noon.  Send them to artscouncil@mounttemple.ie – or check in with Ms O’Brien on how to submit.    In the meantime, if you have any questions – drop us an email and we will respond as soon as possible.
