Very best of luck to Jude and Zach! Jude North and Zach North are taking part in the national final of the All Ireland Linguistics Olympiad at DCU today. They compete both individually and in teams. This year’s competition involves solving problems in various languages: Kannada (spoken in southwestern India), Aymara (an official language in Bolivia and Peru), Maonan (spoken in some provinces of China), O’odham (spoken in Mexico and Arizona), and Xhosa, one of the official languages of South Africa and the native language of Nelson Mandela. Well done and good luck!
