Well that was a first…a Healthy Living Week Colour Run and didnt it go well. Our TY’s ran with colour, enthusiasm and vibrancy as they chagned from white to colour in a matter of minutes, being blasted and blown about with colour to round off a great week of our Healthy Living Week.

Healthy Living Week 1st Year Sports Day- Pics

Oh the joys of a competitive Sports Day were brought back to life on Tuesday by our 5th Year LCPE class as they took to the benchball court, the dodgeball court and the capture the flag pitch with their 1st Year teams, and to say it was competitive was an understatement. Rallied by the LCPE students as team managers our 1st Years enjoying hitting each other in dodgeball, chasing each other in capture the flag and celebrating when they got someone up on the bench in bench ball (as you can see from one of our team managers). The Sports Co-ordinators kept things going smoothly and applied the rules of each game fairly.

1st Year Champions after a rock, paper scissor competition – 1B
Runners Up – 1I
3rd Place – 1U
4th Place – 1L
5th Place – 1D

Get Cooking, Not Cooked met yesterday, supported by the Arts Council, and learned how to make Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese Custard Tarts) including special laminated pastry from scratch, custard, and syrup.
All enthusiastic chefs welcome to the club! Ingredients are provided.

1st Year Girls B Hockey Northside Champions- Pics

They have only just and done it!!! Our fabulous 1st Year Girls B Hockey squad have been crowned this years Northside League 1st Year B League Champions after a last minute goal saw us take the match to 1v1’s and after two successful attempts and with a save, we won!!! A Great effort by all the girls to go through the entire 11-a-side season with only one defeat (to the eventual Leinster Champions). Led by Abigail, assisted by Lily, each and everyone one of the girls richly deserves the praise that they are going to receive. With 14 6 years moving on from Girls Hockey this year, the future remains positive and with over 150 girls currently playing hockey for the school we are certainly going in the right direction.
A massive good luck to our Junior B’s who take to the field in their final at 11.00am today and to the Senior A squad who play in their final after the holidays.

On Wednesday our Senior Boys took to the field one final time this season and it was a farewell to our hard working 6th Years who have represented the school over the past six years. Our community thanks the boys for their hard work and effort over the years in particular ensuring the rugby conitnues to be a strong sport within Mount Temple. A huge thank you to Cillian, Ruairi, Luka, Alex, Luke and John and good luck over the coming years at whatever level you continue to play rugby at.
