Once again Mount Temple travelled to the Sports Ireland Campus, National Indoor Arena to take part in the annual PExpo competition. Now in its 12th year the competition is similar to the Science Expo in January except that projects are based on sporting and physical education categories. This year we are delighted to announce that We were crowned the Junior Technology awards winners and it was Chloe, Susie and Amielie that won with their proect – A new face mask for hockey. This was the second year in a row that the girls had developed the same project with the judges being impressed with the improvements that they had made to their prodcut from last year. A huge well done also to our Press Pack, who at the last minute were in control of the PExpo Instagram uplodaing pictures, creating content videos and everything related to PExpo. We done to Rachael, Emma, Abigail and Julia for all their hard work and effort.

1U CSPE (Projects on people who campaigned for Human Rights)

In their CSPE class, the pupils of 1U had to choose a person who worked for Human Rights, research them and prepare a presentation.

3rd Year Home Economics students recently completed their practical cookery exams, showcasing their culinary and creative skills.

These students should be commended for their consistent hard work and effort, and achieving very high standards. Well done!

Mount Temple Comprehensive School Golf Classic

The Mount Temple Sports Council would like to invite one and all to be part of this year Mount Temple Golf Classic. Through either sponsoring a tee box, helping with registration, trying to hit the golf ball straight or just joining us for the celebration in the evening, its a great way for our school community to come together. Have a look at the fliers for more information and hopefully there will be a new name on the Duggan Family Trophy this year.

Inaugural Mount Temple Colour Run

Well that was a first…a Healthy Living Week Colour Run and didnt it go well. Our TY’s ran with colour, enthusiasm and vibrancy as they chagned from white to colour in a matter of minutes, being blasted and blown about with colour to round off a great week of our Healthy Living Week.

2nd Year Sports Day

Our annual 2nd Year Sports Day took place again during our Healthy Living Week and a huge congratulations to our 6th Year LCPE class for organising and running the event. A big shout out to the 2nd Years for helping to create such an electric atmopshere as well. What a performance.

Switch over from Vsware to Tyro

Dear Parents and Guardians,

From Monday the 20th of April all school staff will be using Tyro as our in school Management Information System. We will no longer be using Vsware to log attendance or upload school reports.

Parents and Guardians will receive details on how to log into Tyro in approximately two weeks time. From today Vsware will no longer be updated, but you will still have access to your account to access previous reports and attendance records.

Once set up previous reports and records will also appear on your Tyro.

We believe this will be a improved interface system to navigate going forward but please bear with us during this transition period.

The unique schools app will still be the application used to submit absences or permissions to sign out.

Parents/Guardians of Current 3rd years – TY information evening – Thursday the 7th of May
